Let your ears discover birdsong right here at Mason

The George Mason Bird Club is open to the Mason community.  Dr. David Luther of the Department of Biology is a bird expert and the faculty advisor of the year-old club, whose twin missions are to boost bird awareness on campus and to conduct research. The club is conducting research about the number of birds on campus and bird strikes, which happen when birds hit buildings and are injured or killed, according to club member Laura Stephens McDonald, a senior in the bachelor of individualized study program working on a degree in urban ecology.
